Drag and Drop Files into the Neat Smart Organization System

Neat offers several ways to import items into the Neat Cloud. One of the easiest ways to import an item is to drag and drop the item directly into Neat using the Smart Organization System. Learn how to drag and drop files into the Neat Cloud. Watch the video or follow the steps below.
Drag and Drop Files into the Neat Smart Organization System
- Open your Neat Smart Organization System software (orange logo) and resize the app window by clicking the Minimize icon in the upper right corner as displayed in the image below.
- Browse to the item(s) you wish to import into the Neat Cloud. With the Smart Organization System, you can import any PDF, JPG, TIF, PNG or BMP file types.
- Click on the file that you want to import and drag it into the Smart Organization System.
- An Import window will open. In the Import window, you can Browse and add additional files to the import, modify the Folder Location that the imported files will be placed in, change the Item Type,
or choose whether to use NeatVerify on the imported items. When you are finished modifying your import options, click Import.
- The Import window will close. Neat will display a processing message until the import has been completed. The file will appear in the location you selected in Step 4.
