Neat Scanners
As of July 2018 all Neat scanners are out of warranty.
In 2017, we announced that we will no longer be manufacturing or selling Neat scanners. Neat is now focused on providing powerful tools for small businesses to help with bookkeeping and accounting through our Cloud software solutions.

3rd Party Scanners with Neat Software
While Neat is no longer manufacturing or selling scanners, our Scan Utility software is optimized to allow you to connect any TWAIN compliant scanner to Neat for scanning. And, of course, you can continue to use your Neat scanner as well!

Which 3rd party scanners will work with Neat?
You can use any TWAIN compatible scanner with the Neat software. TWAIN is a widely-used software that allows you to scan an image directly into an application, such as Neat. Consult your device manufacturer to find out if it is certified as TWAIN-compliant.
What is a Neat Certified hardware device?
A Neat Certified hardware device is tested to ensure it works seamlessly with Neat’s software and meets the quality standards our customers have come to expect. Additionally, the integration to these Certified devices is covered as part of our normal support plans.

What if my 3rd party scanner is not Neat Certified?
Scanners connected to Neat that are not ‘certified’ by Neat engineers will have limited scanner setting abilities.
Non-Neat Certified scanner will NOT be able to change the following scan settings in the Neat software:
- Single / Double sided
- Separate / Combined scanning
- B/W / Color scanning
- Crop / Edit image before sending and processing
- Rotate image before sending and processing
- Zoom in / out before sending and processing
While you will not be able to change the above scan settings in the Neat software, you can adjust these settings by using the software the scanner came with to scan. Once the file is saved on your computer, you can import the file into Neat.
