How to access the File Cabinet in the Neat Mobile App
- From the Home Screen toggle to Files and select Cabinet.
- From there, you can select My Cabinet, to access your folders and items.
- To share PDFs in the Neat mobile app, open your cabinet using the steps above.
- Navigate to the folder with the item(s) you want to share.
- Click on the three dots on the right side of the item that you would like to share.
- Select Share PDF .
- Once you are on the Share PDF screen, you can input the email address(es) of your recipients. Tap + Email Address to enter additional emails.
- After entering recipient emails and adding an optional message, click Send to share a PDF of your item.
How to move items in the Neat Mobile App
- Open your cabinet using the steps above.
- Navigate to the folder with the item(s) you want to share.
- Click the three dots on the right side of the item that you would like to move.

- You can then select Move .

- Once you are on the Move screen, you can select from Unfiled, My cabinet, and Trash.

- If you select My cabinet, you will be taken to your folders where you can select a new destination. Once a new destination is selected, you can click Move Here at the bottom right.
How to send items to the trash in the Neat Mobile App
- Open your cabinet using the steps above.
- Select the folder with the item(s) you want to send to the trash.

- Click on the three dots on the right side of the item.

- You can then select Trash .

- Once the trash is selected, a confirmation message will appear on your screen.

- After selecting Yes, your items will then be placed in the trash.
How to duplicate folders in the Neat Mobile App
- In your Cabinet, navigate to the folder you wish to duplicate.
- Tap the ellipsis [...] to the right of the folder name.

- Select Duplicate Folder.

- You can:
- Toggle Include Subfolders on or off. When set to On subfolders under the selected folder will also be duplicated.
- Use Choose Folder to move the duplicate folder to another location.
- Rename the duplicate folder.

- Press Save when you're ready to duplicate your folder(s).
- When complete, you'll receive a confirmation that your folder was duplicated.

How to copy files in the Neat Mobile App
- Find the file you want to copy and tap the ellipsis (three dots) for that item.
- Select
Copy .
- The file's current location will be displayed. You may edit the notes if desired. Then tap Save to make a copy in the same folder or tap Choose Folder to set another folder as the destination for the copy.
- If you selected Choose Folder, you can send the copy to the Unfiled section or tap My Cabinet to choose a folder where the copy will be sent.
- Press Copy Here to finish.
How to edit file fields and Notes in the Neat Mobile App
To edit a file’s fields:
- Locate and open the file you want to update.
- Swipe up on the file details at the bottom of the screen to view the file fields.
- By default, you’ll see the primary file fields available for editing. To access additional fields, including Notes (if not already displayed), scroll to the bottom and tap Add Field.
- Select the field you want to add, then enter or update the information.
- Tap Save to save your changes.
Changes made to your files in the Neat Mobile App are automatically and instantly synced with the Neat Web App, so your updates will be available across both platforms.
How to mark files as Reviewed or Needs Review in the Neat Mobile App
Mark a File as Reviewed
For accurate record-keeping, always review data before marking as Reviewed. To mark a file as reviewed and remove it from the Needs Review filter, you can:
- Review the file: Open the file and review its fields. Once you’ve reviewed the fields, the file will automatically be marked as reviewed and removed from the Needs Review filter.
- Mark it manually: Click the ellipsis (⋯) next to the file or on the item image, then select Mark as Reviewed.
Mark a File as Needs Review
You can also flag files for review and add them back to the Needs Review filter for easy access. This can be helpful when you need to follow up on a file later, make additional updates, verify information, or want to keep track of files that still need your attention.
To flag a file for review, click the ellipsis (⋯) next to the file or on the item image, then select Mark as Needs Review. The file will be added to the Needs Review filter, where you can easily find it when you’re ready to review it.
