Mac - USB-C Connection

Newer Mac devices come with the USB-C connection type.

Please note: Neat scanners are not directly compatible with the USB-C connection type. This is because Neat scanners were manufactured before the USB-C connection was developed.

You may try using a USB-C Dongle (pictured below) to connect your Neat scanner to a USB-C port. For best results, it should be connected directly to the Mac and not through another device such as a USB hub, Mac keyboard, etc.

A multiport adapter of the kind with several USB-A connectors may not work well between your Mac and your Neat scanner.

We apologize for any inconvenience this causes.

Older Neat drivers for Mac are not compatible with newer Mac hardware and operating systems, but you may now request access to a new Beta Neat driver for Mac. The final version of this driver will be released imminently.

As an alternative, we recommend using the Neat Mobile App to scan your items into Neat.
