Windows 10 End of Support
On October 14, 2025, Microsoft will end updates and support for the Windows 10 operating system.
This means Windows 10 will no longer receive the following:
- Security updates: Including security patches for viruses and malware
- Feature updates: Including improvements, enhancements, and new features
- Technical support: Microsoft technical assistance will no longer be available for Windows 10
You can still use Windows 10 after October 14, 2025 — but it’s not safe.
What should you do?
- Upgrade to Windows 11: If your device is eligible, upgrading to Windows 11 will continue to provide you with a secure experience.
- Consider Extended Security Updates: Microsoft offers paid Extended Security Updates (ESU), which allow security updates for a limited time (1 year) after the official end-of-support date (October 14, 2025).
- Purchase a new PC: Another option to continue with an up-to-date and secure operating system is buying a new device that can run Windows 11.

How will this affect Neat products and users?
The Neat Web App (app.neat.com) available by signing into your account at app.neat.com, will continue to work as usual. However, if accessed from Windows 10 after October 14, 2025, your browsing experience will no longer be as secure.
Neat Scanner Drivers may need to be reinstalled after upgrading to Windows 11 and will definitely need to be installed on new PCs. Drivers can be downloaded here. Note: All Windows 11 computers use the 64-bit driver.
The Neat Desktop Application, like the scanner drivers, may need to be installed on a new computer. Download the Neat Desktop Application here.
The Neat Mobile Application will not be affected since it runs on Android and iOS, but not Windows.
