Neat Desktop Application - Error Checking Default Scan Path

When attempting to scan with the Neat Desktop Application, some users may encounter an error referencing the scan path very similar to this one:
ERROR CHECKING DEFAULT SCAN PATH:\\Pictures\Neat Scan



This error will appear if there is no Neat Scan folder in the predetermined default path and may be the result of attempting to send the scans to another location on the computer or network. This is not supported in the Neat Desktop Application.
The default scan path below must be used in order for the Neat Desktop Application to work correctly:
C:\Users\[USERNAME]\Pictures\Neat Scan
Please Note: "[USERNAME]" above needs to be replaced with the name you use to log into your Windows computer.
