Neat Scanners and Mac OS Ventura
With the release of Mac OS 13 Ventura, Neat users experienced issues with installing Neat scanner drivers and scanning with existing drivers after upgrading to Ventura.Unfortunately, the Sonoma OS no longer recognizes the usb technology and drivers that the older Neat scanners use. Neat stopped manufacturing and selling scanners over 6 years ago and while we've been able to support them for several years since then, they are not compatible with the much newer Sonoma OS. However, updated Mac drivers are expected in the near future. In the meantime, Neat recommends using any of the alternative options below to get your files and data into Neat:
- Scan and upload images using the Neat mobile app
- Import image files directly into Neat
- Email items directly into Neat
- Use a third party TWAIN scanner with the Neat Desktop App.
We have worked on updating the drivers to work with Ventura but have continued to run into technical issues which have prevented it due to the fact that Ventura no longer supports the older usb technology.
