If you haven’t already, download the Neat Desktop Smart Organization System for either Mac or Windows.
If you haven’t created an account, choose “Create An Account.” You will be directed through a step-by-step registration process. Your username will be the e-mail address you used during your online purchase. If you purchased in-store and/or have an activation card you be prompted to input your 10-digit PIN number.
If you already have an account, sign-in using your username (the email address you originally created or used during online purchase) and password.
You can also use your Intuit credentials to sign-in.

Neat is compatible with Fujitsu Scansnap & TWAIN compliant scanning devices. Every item added to Neat undergoes our proprietary OCR-engine known as InDocument Identification Technology™
Emailing an Item
You can email individual items through Neat. Select the item you want to share, then choose “Email Selected Item” from the menu bar.
Sharing a Folder
You can use Neat to share entire folders with other people at any time - even if they don’t have Neat. They’ll get read-only access to your files, and will be able to comment on items
When you share a folder, each user can add comments to the items in that folder. Comments can be added when viewing an item.
Creating expense reports in Neat only takes a few steps. Place all reimbursable expenses in a designated folder (e.g. Business Trips January). Select the designated folder and then click the “Expense Report" button.
Your report will be saved in the same folder you used to create it. You'll also have the option to instantly download your report to your compter.
Every word of every document you capture and put into Neat is keyword-searchable - so you can find anything quickly
Filter your search results so you see only the items you’re interested in, such as receipts from a particular month. Filters make it easy for you to be more productive, adding another layer of organization to your files.
The first time you sign in to Neat, it’s a good idea to get familiar with your account settings. Access your account info by clicking your name in the upper right-hand corner of the screen.
